"Who Wants to Tell Him That's Toilet Paper?"

Film: The Invisible Man (1933)

Alias: The Invisible Man

Type: Man-Made

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral, then Evil, though he does repent.

Summary: How do you fight an enemy you can't see? More to the point, how did we end up with a maniacal invisible jerk going around killing everyone? At least for what's it worth, it'll be a field day for the most dedicated of hide-and-seek players.

History: Dr. Jack Griffin wasn't the most social of scientists, but he always meant well. All of that changed when he came across a drug known as monocane. Hearing of its almost supernatural properties, Griffin fiddled with it for some time, but no one could be asked to tell him that it has madness inducing side-effects. So good news is that he figured out the ability to turn invisible because of it, and the bad news is that he now has plans for world domination, and will silence anyone who gets in his way.

Notable Kills: While invisible, Griffin manages to derail a train with hundreds on board. There are few survivors in the grisly aftermath.

Final Fate: Griffin rests for a while in a barn, cops set fire to said barn, Griffin walks out of the barn unscathed, cops shoot source of visible footprints to near-death, Griffin dies regretting his actions before becoming visible again.

Powers/Abilities: Griffin is permanently invisible to the naked eye, and can do as he pleases without anyone noticing.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-Griffin made the most of his new powers, with tasteless mischief at best and mass murder at worst. His means of becoming visible, being wrapped up like a mummy with goggles, is also a little unnerving, if a bit ridiculous with those big goggles.

Trivia: -Griffin was played by Claude Rains, who would go on to play Captain Louis Renault in 1942's "Casablanca".

-Boris Karloff was going to play as Griffin, but the producer kept trying to cut his salary, setting the tone for a rather tumultuous production.

What's with that light coming from his eyes?

Seriously. You don't have eye lasers. Knock it off!

Typical Wisconsin wear.

Yes, even my happy spot is invisible. Sorry, dear.
Well, things just got frightening.

How does he even BREATHE in that thing?

"Power, I said! Power to walk into the gold vaults of the nations, into the secrets of kings, into the Holy of Holies; power to make multitudes run squealing in terror at the touch of my little invisible finger. Even the moon's frightened of me, frightened to death!"
Rather flax towards your killer, are you?

"Damn wind."

At least he's learning, as seen down below.

"Look, ma! No head!"

"Suggest I star in that League of Extrodinary Gentlemen movie and I'll flog you."
Eye Light Lasers? Really?

"Pardon me. I'm an abstract painting now."

"Another Invisible Man? AM I GETTING SEQUELS!?"

Before and in death, our true self shows.
